Within the CCO, we have area professional musicians as well as volunteer musicians. We have worked very hard to build ties between our professionals and volunteers to get the very best local musicians to play with us. Our volunteers rehearse weekly from the 3rd week in July through the 1st week in May (and, for our summer term, through the end of June). We are conducted by Rob Nordan and are scheduled to perform 5 concerts this season. This group is for intermediate through advanced orchestral instrumentalists, including retired professional musicians, current professional musicians, area music teachers, developing advanced student instrumentalists, and adults who enjoy playing good music. We currently have over 50 musicians and are still in need of all bowed string instruments and double reeds.
